VENDICARI NATURE RESERVE
Vendicari nature reserve is one of the most visited reserves in Sicily. It is a complexity of wetlands, with marshes and coastal dunes which offer a perfect spot for the migratory birds to rest. Vendicari offers some of the most beautiful beaches of the Ionian Coast: an unspoilt and crystalline sea. Vendicari offers you more than 7 km of coastline between fine sand and rocky coves. It is a perfect spot for hiking, birdwatching, snorkeling and sunbathing.
NECROPOLIS OF PANTALICA
Pantalica is the biggest and most important prehistoric necropolis of Europe, famous for thousand of tombs dug into steep canyon walls. Pantalica is a nature reserve and listed as a UNESCO site. It is famous for it's breathtaking nature which is charaterized by two large canyons, two rivers and plentiful vegetation. It is an absolute paradise for trekking.
MOUNT ETNA TOUR FROM SIRACUSA
Mount Etna is the highest volcano in Europe and one of the most active in the world. In 1986 it was established as a Regional Nature Park and in 2013 it was added to the list of World Heritage sites by UNESCO. The volcano also supports important terrestrial ecosystems including endemic flora and fauna and its activity makes it a natural laboratory for the study of ecological and biological. Today the diverse and accessible range of volcanic features such as summit craters, cinder cones, lava flows and the Valle de Bove depression have made the site a prime destination for tourism, research and education.
